Introduction

Entry areas do not have to be cluttered with various equipments such as entry, cameras, and intercoms for controlling access! As all can be replaced by Bio-View!

Bio-View is a new design from Holovision where it architecturally integrated ekey fingerprint physical access control with an audio and video entry system. Bio-View is suitable for any entry location such as front doors, gates, garages, etc.

Bio-View Description

The Bio-View consists of 3 sub-systems:

  • ekey fingerprint physical access control;
  • Two-way Communication Intercom;
  • and, a color Camera

All three sub-systems are integrated in a small mounting box that measures approximately H7¼ x W4½ x D4¼ inches. The box is mounted recessed into the wall. The front cover of the Bio-View has a small faceplate and measures approximately H8¼ x W5¼ x D¼ inches. The front cover standard finishes are Brushed Chrome and Oil Rubbed Bronze (other finishes to be added).

The Bio-View is assembled and configured according to request. In addition to standard bullet color camera, Bio-View can be equipped with either TOCAhome or TOCAnet as an access control system. Also, it can be equipped with either Crestron, compatible Panasonic, TES, or Viking intercom system.

Camera

The Bio-View comes standard with High Performance 3.7 mm color camera. The camera has field of View 90 degrees mounted on swivel bracket that can be adjusted during installation 20 degrees to the left or right; High resolution 480 lines; Minimum Illumination less than 0.02 lux; operating temperature 10 - 50 degrees C, and powered by 12 VDC.

Intercom

The Bio-View can be ordered with different intercom system as explained below. Unless otherwise indicated, each intercom system comes with circuit board, speaker, and microphone. The different intercom systems that are available for Bio-View are as follows:

  • Crestron intercom system; it includes circuit board C2N-IIF, speaker and microphone.
  • Panasonic (compatible) intercom system; it includes compatible circuit board, 2" speaker, and microphone.
  • Telephone Entry System (TES); it establishes communication link between the gate or the front door and every regular telephone in the house. The system causes all of the phones in the home to ring with a distinctive ring tone. It includes circuit board, speaker, and microphone and all other components for a complete entry system. Optional door strike relay is available.
  • Viking speaker systems; High performance Viking system uses "half-duplex" communication, allowing for high speaker and microphone volume, without the possibility of feedback. It includes circuit board, speaker, and microphone.

Fingerprint Access Control

The Bio-View can be ordered with ekey Fingerprint Access control System - standard scanner only. Unless otherwise indicated, each ekey system comes with fingerprint scanner, control unit, and power adapter. ekey fingerprint access control system is available in multiple configurations as follows:

  • ekey TOCAhome - standalone basic access control system - No computer is needed for enrollment or management. TOCAhome is suitable for simple access applications with 24/7 access for enrolled and authorized users; no logging or schedules. Click here to view TOCAhome details in a new window

  • ekey TOCAnet - networkable access control system that consists of one or more TOCAnet systems networked together and controlled by client/server computer program - A computer is needed for enrollment and management.
